they have a pistol and trap range on base, not sure what the times and regs are though. You can get on CP with your arms and ammo, no problem.

They have a bunch of different ranges on Camp Pen. Do you live in SD?

CP is Camp Pen. **** going to Camp Pen, if you live in SD just head up to Orozco. It's in Ramona. It is an awesome place to shoot. It is just a mountain and you can shoot at what you want, with what you want. An old Navy buddy and I used to go there all the time. Granted I have not been there for about 7 years so I am not sure if you can still shoot there. If things have changed and it is closed you can always head out to Jacumba way the hell out the 8 and shoot out there as well.

CP is camp pendleton. If I remember correctly the range is still at 31 area. edson range, just ask the marine at the gate and follow his 'knife hand' commands

You do not "have" to tell him but you are supposed to. Why bother going up there to shoot? It is nothing special and more of a headache than it is worth.

Take the 67 into Ramona (Main Street) make a left on the 78 (Pine St.) take that till it becomes W Haverford. You are getting close when it starts to head down hill and there is no more houses on either side of the road. There will be a dirt road on your left with a large tractor tire on each side of the gate, it is after the downhill flattens out. Take that road and head up the mountain. The place is huge and you can go all over the mountain. If you bring up Ramona on google maps and follow the roads I describe it is the large empty area near where Haverford becomes San Pasqual.

the gate is big round tubing with a cattle guard under it. oroscoe ridge is very nice to shoot at. make sure you get a forest adventure pass. Its five bucks for the day and 30 for the year. you can pick it up at big 5.

I have a friend that lives in base housing on CP. Any info on how we could go shoot my firearms at the range there would be greatly appreciated.
