    pay changes 2010

Just checked my my-pay and noticed there are no COLA raises in 2010 for retired military and my witholding increased....a lot!! WTF? When did this legislation get passed and who passed it? I really would like to know who voted for this so I can write some nastygrams.

Yep. No COLA for us mil retirees this year. I didn't notice a change in fed withholding. Maybe your state?

Those mil retirees who still work, may also get an additional surprize when they do their 1040s this year. Something to do with way the "tax decrease for 95% of Americans" was calculated.

But hey, we got officially stimulated with $250.00

As for who did it, the miracle worker and his minions, of course.
"Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook Pegler

No COLA for Social Security payments or VA disability payments.
