I have some questions. I'm prior service, honorably discharged due to AF downsizing. I am very familiar with aircraft and aircraft systems and have some fixed wing hours. Want to know what it takes to fly some helo's.

Also from what i hear you dont want a pump shotgun for home defense as the pumping sound is "cool" and will actually attract more thugs. Like starting a party up in here. -

Maybe you should talk to a recruiter.
You are looking for the WOFT program, check it out on goarmy.com . You will have to pass the AFAST (Army Flight Aptitude Skills Test) which is a serious pain in the a**. There are study guides avalible on the internet. You also need a good GT score.

Appointment is next Wednesday, here in Lancaster. I've been looking for examples of the test and cant find any. I was package complete with a WO inter-service transfer buut had an issue with a broken ankle and pulled my package.
My buddy was a fellow SGT in the Marines went through with it and he was flying Apaches last I talked with him.
He told me the bootcamp was physically easier than the Marine boot camp but mentally the WO bootcamp was worse...alot worst.
He said they almost kicked him out because he didnt replace a inventory card on his locker, but used the same one from the day before but erased something that was at the cleaners. They made a mock trial for him and the other WO candidates had to decide whether or not he should be kicked out.
On second thought I think it was a disposable razor he had thrown out and he was supposed to make a new card but didnt.sigpic

Sounds a lot like AF BC. I had to make a list of every dolllar bill I had along with the serial number. If I broke a twenty and got change, well life sucked. Just being anal so you keep it going with everything you do.
I spent days pulling stray strings and strands out of my uniforms. I had my razor that I used and my show razors, same with shirts that I ironed with a hot canteen.
