Because they can't cut it and they know it... or they are just too lazy and don't want to do any of the hard work to earn it. Today's society frowns upon earning something. Instead, it's entitlement entitlement entitlement so they just claim it instead.

We cops get it too with the security types who keep trying to claim some sort of kinship and some go as far as carrying their security badges and make up stories about how they have the same training or they work with the cops and whatnot. Well, then go be a cop, stop pretending already.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

          That makes sense.
It just seems like they are so all about it that they should at least try?

Most security guards I've met are just in it for the paycheck (which isn't that great), but I have met some who want to be cops and for some reason never even try.

But they are Special Forces...they are this Country's "Special Ed Forces", defending the Liberals' "rights" to be "special" so that they can continue to promote an anti-gun agenda, to lie about their past, and to squander our tax dollars.
They even snipe the propaganda into people's ears at every Starbucks, pta meeting, msnbc employee and soccer game in the Counrty.

Yeah... The day after I posted that, I wasted the whole Great Khan village, and all the skirt-wearing Legionaries. And the NCR, of course. I'm more into robot scenario. I turned Yes Man into my personal sex slave... However, that made Fisto kinda jealous...

On a more negative note, I am kinda upset that I beat the game so fast... I didn't even pay attention when I got to a certain spot, that it won't let you go do anything else. That was dumb of me.

Back to the original thread though - Some supposed "Army" guy was running around the mall here in Eureka a few weeks back, sporting his BDU's... No shave, a NASTY haircut, and his boots weren't bloused or tucked in... He was in Spencer's, and asked if they did a military discount. They said sure, just gotta check the military ID... Of course he forgot his at home, but got upset because the uniform should have been sufficient to prove he was in the service.

I call shenanigans. Everybody knows the Desert Eagle cannot be suppressed. Any Navy SEAL operator worth his salt carries a silenced 11 shot Smith & Wesson 29 with the subsonic 44 magnum round.

There was a fella in one of my classes last fall who claimed to be a Marine Iraq veteran. Just having returned from my 2nd tour and ETSing from the Army myself, I thought, "Great! I'm not the only grunt here" He claimed to have been an explosives expert, yet had no idea the names of any cities, bases, or the unit he had been in "All over, down south, by Baghdad and stuff".....right...

Then he asked me if I was allowed to keep my rifle... because the USMC let him keep his issued MP5 after the war...and finally he wanted to know all about the GI Bill that he claims to have been using, but knew nothing about.

I went to knotts with my best friend whos been in combat, has shrapnel still in his shoulder and doesnt talk about it much. we get in for free because of the military thing and I started to get so pissed at all the half asses wearing uniforms there. I think the only thing uniform I was wearing was my boots and belt but there was guys running around with ACU pants, one private (e-2) was wearing his full uniform with jump wings and aircrew wings yet didnt even have a crest on his beret or unit patch. I wanted to ask him questions about jump school and put him on blast but he was with his mother. My buddy just shakes his head and laughs. Worst thing was, I see this kid thats like 15 and 300 pounds walking around with an ACU top on. I look at his rank and its some ate up form of a staff sgt and I stare at this kid till I realize instead of US ARMY it says JROTC

I got my friend to believe that I was an assassin trained at age 6 and recently retired at age 16. I told him I had been in an organization that helped shaped the world it is today and that political figures are actors from the "organization." I think he still believes me.

Here's one of my stories... but it's kinda reversed.

I know a guy who is older than me by 2 decades at least... not too sure. Anyway, he was a grunt who served in Vietnam and he's proud as he should be. He likes wearing his Corps gear and all that.

So, one day we were chatting with other people around. He starts talking about his service. So I join in and talk about my "days in the 'Nam". He gets all excited and asks me where I served and all that jazz.

I made up some stuff... Da Nang, Ia Drang, mainly stuff I remembered from Platoon and Hamburger Hill. Dropped in a few lines from the movies, and used some scenes from the movies as firefights I had and stuff.

Pretty much everyone caught on and figured I couldn't have been there at my age... but they didn't say anything. After a few minutes of it, he looks at me with this "wait a minute" look and asks me, "Aren't you too young for that?" He said I had him because I was so serious when I brought it up and I had the names and places right.

Yeah... I wasn't even born yet when the Vietnam War started. Good catch.

We laugh about it when we see each other still.

No BS here....I met my brother in law and I knew what his status was.

Skinny, non descript, nerdy looking and hair was "normal." Meaning no low regs or hight and tight.

I shook his hand and simply stated that it was an honor and he looked like a nerd. He laughed and just shook his head. Told me that was the point.

I have seen only a few pics of him in "uniform." Sanitized desert digi's I had never seen before (and still haven't)and tri colored deserts.
