Man, the AF leaves you guys in one spot for a long time. At least you're going to a free state.

Lived at Minot AFB in 75-77, I remember snow drifts taller then a single story building.
Peace demands solutions, but we never reach living solutions; we only work toward them. A fixed solution is, by definition, a dead solution. The trouble with peace is that it tends to punish mistakes instead of rewarding brilliance.

Good luck dude! From what I've heard from people that were stationed there it's a really small town. I'm a fellow Crew Chief currently stationed at Ellsworth AFB working the B-1. I hear that C-5s are pretty much pigs. You should have a pretty good time with the buff from what I keep hearing about it's maintenance being cake compared to the Bone.

EDIT - BTW... How is Travis? I've been trying to get orders and Travis has been on my BOP list for a while.

Being stationed in Minot, you'll probably get some deployments to Guam at least.

good luck man, i don't want to scare you but minot is not the greatest place they're standing up a new command right now for the B-52's. That plane is good to work on, but you're gonna have to be there while they iron out all the wrinkles in this new command. They're trying to get a bunch of us there too, I'm fighting it with all my might. I'm a 2A5X3A Bomber Avionics. Again good luck, and make sure you get a block heater for your vehicle, or a snowmobile to drive to work
