    Defend us in battle

    I just learned today that some of the boys I trained and sent off into battle were killed in Baghdad by a car bomber today.

    St. Micheal the Archangel defend us in battle, be our protection against evil. O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

          Rarely does a day pass that I do not think of the sacrifices being made.

          May a swift end to all this be near, but I know there is so much more to go.
