    Your best DFAC concoctions?

Here I am at N. Hood for a couple more weeks. Mostly white space now so it's one big countdown to the next meal. DFAC here is great but getting burned out on 4 egg omelettes and baked chicken and fish. I'm mostly experimenting with deserts. Had warm peach crumble with vanilla ice cream, oatmeal raisin cookie ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cone with fruit loop topping. What are/were some of your best concoctions?

At Bagram air base there are multiple "camps" where folks either work, or billet at. Each one has it's own DFAC.

We abused the practice of bouncing around from camp to camp to utilize the DFAC's non coordinated weekly menu cycle in order to get Chicken Wings as much as we could during the week.

Eventually, they clamped down and one had to present their CAMP BADGE at the CAMP DFAC. So at best, you could bounce between two DFACs if your work place and billeting place were different camps. But no more walking into a random DFAC on their Wing Night.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

We only had the one DFAC on Warhorse, but I was able to talk to the manager and got them to make me two loaves of challah bread every Friday using my wifes recipie. The Bangladeshi contractors really enjoyed the opportunity to make something that wasn't in the normal rotation.

I had an omelette today with an over easy fried egg on top. My buddy got a scramble with an egg cracked right in the middle. Looked awesome as he cut through the egg and the yolk oozed into the scramble on his plate!

Sounds awesome fresh bread every week. You don't appreciate the small things until you don't have them, like ice or even a cold drink.

I don't recall anything super weird.

Most of the trial an error stuff at Ft. Jackson or Lewis was with breakfast. Scrambled Eggs with Grits on top, or Scrambled Eggs with Biscuits and Gravy on top, two pancakes with syrup in a bowl. I personally liked adding sugar to grits as it kind of reminded me of cream of wheat.

I always thought the energy drink dubbed "Victory Punch" always tasted a little off.

On a better note, I once convinced the guy at a drive through Jack in the box to put one of the $0.99 tacos inside a Jumbo Jack, and wrap it up.
