Finally got a date for BOLC!

Hi all. I direct comissioned into the Army Reserves 2 years ago this month. I've been waiting for a BOLC date (phase 2) for about 8 months. I'll be at Ft. Sam Houston from June to July. Not looking forward to the heat but very excited to finally get off of the DMOSQ list.please wish me well and happy to get any tips from the pro's here.

The heat won't be the problem, the inability to get dry while in the heat will.

      HAHA.........

I'm still DMOSQ in the system. I've submitted my packed multiple times, and multiple times nothing happens.

Now I'm looking at a potential deployment, and am flagged from deploying because the system doesn't see me as Branch Qualified.

Sooooooooooooooo............... I'm just going to leave it that way. The army will fix it when it's in their interest to do so.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

Ahhh, you're always good for encouragement! Seems the Army never makes it easy.

My favorite personal example is when I had a soldier that was TRANSGENDER who wanted to process his Individual Ready Reserve status. He served his 6, and now wanted to go IRR his last 2.

Typically, that takes months and months of game playing to process.

I signed and processed the paperwork at the company level on a MONDAY, and it was approved by an O6/COL Brigade Commander that SAME DAY, and EFFECTIVE the next day (TUESDAY).

That day I processed two IRR packets, and the second soldier got to ride on the Transgender coat tails. BOTH were processed the same. So just to be sure the ARMY isn't discriminating.

Nice, enjoy BOLC, but not too much... I've heard that AMEDD BOLC is strangely hard to get a class date for. Randomly, when I was traveling from the West Coast to SBOLC I managed to stay in the same hotel a bunch of AMEDD officers were living at.

Thanks! I've been waiting for about a year but part of that was due to other snafu's. It should be interesting, at least for me. Hopefully all of the classwork was rolled up into the online course I did and they'll have us in the field.
