    Recruiting increase?

Does anyone know if there will be an increase in recruiting anytime soon?

Just curious because I want re reenlist, but a USAF RE-4C looks bad, even if it's an RE-3 for the Army.

Hoping that if there is an increase my 4C won't look as bad and I could get in to the Army.

Also, does anyone have any experience/knowledge with RE code waivers or changes?

I think the writing is in the wall.

      1) Active Army was offering all reserve LTs to go active for three years.
      2) I just got an e-mail from the retention office asking for references of IRR soldiers they could contact to try and move into TPU status in order to build up reserve unit ranks.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

If they want you they WILL get a waiver.
          Been there, done that.

Yep. I don't know what all that 4C stuff is.
And it was Navy that gave the waiver. They're more finicky than the Army.
You need to be prepared to give them al that stuff how you're changed now. Bad mouthing the AF won't work.

4C indicates a concealment of juvenile records.
But I don't have juvenile records, so I never really understood why I received that designation.

So this is what I mean in regards to figuring things out for yourself:
This didn’t take me long at all.

                    I did a search on “airforce RE-4C”

                    I came up with:
***USAF, RE-4C Concealment of juvenile rcds; or minority, or failure to meet phys standards; or failure to obtain 9.0 reading grade***

                    I also found :
****ARMY, RE-4 Individuals separated from last period of service with a nonwaiverable disqualification (refer to AR 601-280). Ineligible for enlistment except as provided for in paragraphs 2-7c and 2-7d. (See waiverable moral and administrative disqualification.) Disqualification is nonwaivable.*****

So I searched for AR 601-280 and found it. I didn’t spend too much time reading it, but I think you are interested in:
*****AR 601-280 3–9. Moral and administrative disqualifications
                    a. Waivable disqualifications are listed below:*****

So if your juvenile records aren’t an issue and your education or physical standards are I don’t see why it wouldn’t be such a big deal to get a waiver if you walked into a recruiter with a College Degree and just finished running a Marathon.

Prospective recruits here need to figure these things out on their own. Incomplete information is being disclosed on the forum and no one here is going to get you to your end goal.

Do an internet search and stretch your mind. It’s why it was important to do all those stupid research reports in school.

                    ********

The OP knows "exactly" why he was discharged from the USAF, and it was something other than under the full terms of the contract. We aren't here to figure out what that is. The military already knows, and you need to show through the waiver process it's no big deal anymore.

Anything can be waived with a high enough rank relative to the wavier issue.

Case in point: The civilian medical doctor attached with the Manhattan Project was in charge of a bunch of military medical staff. He wanted a clear hand of authority over his staff so he griped enough and got commissioned as a Full Bird Colonel .................POOF DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything can get a waiver. The more you want relative to the issues you have require higher authority, but it can be done.

                    1) we don't know what your issues are
                    2) we don't know what you have to offer the military
                    3) we don't know how badly the military wants your skill set

But the regulations are there and can be navigated to get to your end goal.

Read them, and read the other regulations you find references to within the regulations you started with.
