    Who lied to their recruiter?

I read several pages about recruiters and how they either lie or don't lie, and I didn't learn anything new. Recruiters have a tough job and most do the best job they can.

I was stationed with several guys who were recruiters at one time or another and I heard all kinds of stories about some of the applicants that tried to join. I'm just curious if anyone lied to their recruiter in order to ensure you were accepted.

My buddy lied about his medical and 2 years in his medical problem came back and bit him in the ***. Cost him 6 months in the brig.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I didn't lie to my recruiter but there were about 6 people while I was at MEPS that couldn't pee in a cup. A few of the guys were in the big room in their boxers doing their physical while I was in there and the doctor came in and told them to leave. Earlier in the day one of those guys was talking about great he is. His ASVAB score of 94 and how he was going to be a NAVY Seal and then become an officer. But he couldn't pee in a cup because there was too many people in the bathroom.

I was honest with my recruiter but I could see how some people would omit some details to get in or make it easier on themselves.

When I was 19 I was going to enlist in The Navy, The recruiter told me to lie about my record. I come from a Navy family so I asked my dad if I should lie, he told me no. But I never signed up anyway.

Had a couple of documented concussions from racing bikes and was honest on my WOFT application< but since I never had a CAT scan and I was the one with the only documents the recruiter told me to "unofficially" fill the app. out again. I got a job flying cargo so I never finished the process.

Never had to lie. Was upfront when I told them about my drug use, ( I was at the time studying the long term affects of marijuana, 22 years and still no long term affects! ) the molesting of a circus midget charge, the lewd and lascivious behavior charge, and the public intox, recruiter told me I would fit right in!

"Sign here, its only for 6 years, oh, and we are gonna put ya in the infantry, thats where you belong. . . "

This thread should be retitled: Who wants to admit to an ongoing federal crime?
I do not provide legal services or practice law (yet).
