You could check your Req list from S1 and based on that talk to Branch. I find that if you do most of the work for Branch, they cant help but say yes to wherever you are requesting.

Enlisted (rather not say pay grade), USCG, I found out today folks are getting notification E-mails for PCS Orders. We transfer in the summer, that about the same for other branches? Looks like i'm heading down south or east coast..

Trust me, no you wouldn't. I was stationed there for 5 years and will never go back. I would rather spend time in the winter in South Dakota.

First off thank you for your service!

I am retired CG and it depends on your priority.. Most folks get orders if not going to a ship from Jan-May. If you're going to a ship, depending on rate, you will get orders or at least an email or phone call from your detailer in November/December. Also PATFORSWA candidates get orders issued very early in the cycle due to the training you have to go through at Camp Lejune before deployment.
I got PCS orders as late as April some PCS cycles and as early as Christmas on other cycles. Remember the detailers, who are all CWOs for E4 and above, put you in priorities, 1-5. Priority 5 being the worst you will mostly get the scraps of what's left in the cycle to priority 1s and 2s who are the folks overseas, afloat, OCONUS or PATFORSWA folks.
