Well a few weeks ago my son joined the marines (infantry). He already went through MEPPS and his date to go to boot is 4/6. As parents, we are nervous...as a dad, very proud.

I am getting ready to go to the hotel right now, I am going to MEPS tomorrow morning. I don't ship out until July and I am going in the Army. I wish him and you the best of luck.

I know exactly how you feel. My son's birthday is tomorrow, and he's spending it in Iraq. It's very strange. He's been gone almost a year, and only has 12 days to go...
