I guess a 13B Cannon Crewman is a POG. M198, 110mm towed artillery. We load up, unload, dig fox holes, fire, load up & repeat every 12 hours.

Gotta love these "discussions." Generally, the only grunts who seem make an issue about it are on their first enlistment and haven't done ****, therefore feeling the need to act tough.
That being said, I am a Marine POG and on my last Afghanistan deployment alone I would hazard that I spent more time outside the FOB than the majority of grunts do in their single enlistment. Taking daily SAF and rocket attacks is always fun as well.
I have to hand it to grunts for dwell time training. Those poor bastards spend way too much time in the field for my taste.

I was USAF so I'm automatically a POG.....

I know I know I"m asking to get flamed but I said "what the hell I'll get some funny responses"

Aircraft mechanic deployed to Balad AB/Camp Anaconda in 2004. Been to other places but that by far was my favorite deployment. Taught me the true meaning of comradarie among servicemembers...something the AF lacks nowadays IMHO
