My son just picked up a Vortex with his Mil discount. Told me it was a great deal.

Along those lines if you are .MIL or LE, you can check out promotive. They offer very nice discounts on a large variety of items.

But, you must be eligible for one of the groups that compose the promotive site. Example: If you want into the LE/MIL group you MUST be just that. An email ending in .mil, usdoj and a few others works straight away. If you do not have one of the few email addresses listed, scan your credentials and/or DD-214 and send it in to them.

You are limited in quantity you can buy per vendor and item type per year.

If you are not a member of the above groups, do the right thing and don't try to back door your way in.

Further, if you get in, use the courtesy and appreciation extended to you, JUST for you, and not everyone you know.

There are A LOT of groups to choose from and you will not qualify for most of them.

LE/MIL has the greatest number of vendors IMO.

            Good luck.

So, just having my dd214 from when I was discharged will work?

So, applied for the marines group on promotive at work yesterday. I didn't have my dd214, but I did have my expired irr military id, and that did work.

How long did it take for them to accept your request? I scanned my old ID card and VA card, but havent heard back yet.
