Given todays political, social and security climate: ANY 37 series. Many good follow on schools.

Whatever is decided I will leave you with this. If you are not offered the AFSC, MOS or NEC you want, walk away AND DO NOT SIGN. X Fing infinity. Do not fall, for "oh you can change it later". Go to a different recruiter.

My MOS was worthless in the civilian world.

My youngest daughter is a 68W medic. She wants to become a doctor, and thought enlisting would be a good way to gain experience and some money for school.

She has been in for about 14 months and says she likes it so far. Of course, she just turned 19, so might change her mind next week.

Last I heard, there's a $20000 signing bonus for them.

Cross levels from the Navy and CG usually have no problems getting into these MOS'es.

Downfall is a lot of schooling, and it's a high tempo MOS. There's a heavy boat unit in Port Hueneme, other units in Vallejo, Tacoma WA and Hawaii

If your getting out of active Navy, CG, or AF, and are thinking about going into the reserves, you might want to look at the army's warrant officer program. Most MOS'es have a significant signing bonus, as long as you do things correctly. Google WOCC, and under the "warrant officer program" link you'll find a link to the recruiting page
Wife and I were both Watercraft Operators in AD Army, later I became a Warrant Officer. Happy Veterans Day.
