Yeah, youll do other stuff too. Cut grass, paint curbs, clean your living quarters and common areas, thats all part of Military life.

21 is too young to be married

I think he picked up a 15 series, Aircraft structural repair or something.

I was going to but I changed it at MEPS last week. I am a 25U. Signal support systems specialist. The aircraft repair MOS that I was going to do was a 6 year enlistment with no bonus and 25U comes with a decent bonus and a 4 year enlistment. It also seemed like a job that would take me different places and I might get to learn some cool junk.

Midian: I will be 22 when I get married, so I agree 21 is too young to get married.

Congrats to you. Sounds like you ended up with a good job. My son picked 94E but hasn't done that job since he finished school. He went to Airborne school after AIT and is now serving in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne. He was just promoted to E-4 and has been in just over 18 months. He really loves the Army. Hopefully you had a good recruiter who took care of you. Did you get a matching TSP?( Like a 401k). If you did take advantage of that as soon as you can. Good luck to you, wife and I will keep you in our prayers.

Thanks for serving our country. It's a decision that is very honorable, and you will earn the respect of many Americans. I would if I could, but I am too fat, and have problems with my hip that would keep me out. I come from a long line on servicemen and women... It's a family tradition I wish I could carry on.
