    Going to MEPS tomorrow...Hopefully...

Well, supposed to go to L.A. MEPS tomorrow. Had an appointment last Tuesday also, but MEPS called my recruiter at noon Monday to cancel. WTF! I'm hoping tomorrow is the day.

Here's my deal. I'm 42 years old, trying to get into the National Guard as an 88M. I'm prior service with 3 years active duty and 1 year of National Guard duty. From what I heard, the over 40 physical is a ***** to pass so I'm a little worried about it.

Any and all positive vibes my way appreciated.

It was 1998 when I went to MEPS as a 27 yo first time enlistee. Even then that squat and walk thing was difficult! Lots of waiting and shuffling from station to station. You wear a label on your shirt as some sort of ID. They gave me a hotel and meal voucher for some place next door. It was low-stress. Nobody was really screaming at us or anything. Just waiting... and waiting....

It is the same as reception battalion, without the reception part.

Don't forget bending over in a room full of other guys to show some old guy your butthole.

I had that duty for one day @ NTC San Diego for our swim days at the pool. Checking for dingle berries, God I hated that! And I wasn't that old.
