I was told by a buddy of mine - who consequently got kicked out of the army but that's a side story - who told me there's a time table out there somewhere which shows when California soldiers will be up for deployment. Seeing as how I haven't even left for OSUT yet i don't know much and don't know if this is true or wildly false.

I've never heard of such a thing. You go when your unit goes, it doesn't matter where you came from.
DOD does put out schedules (often, not publicly) in advance of unit depoyments. Especially so for Reserve/NG units.
Policy is that a unit returning from deployment is given a certain amount of time at home before redeploying, so one would know, barring transfer to another unit, etc., when they could expect to redeploy.Last edited by dustoff31; 01-02-2009, 1:11 PM."Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook Pegler -
You are going to hear sooooo many rumors that after a few years you know which ones to even pay attention to and that is hardly any at all.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Union...70812799700206

CA sent out a bunch of people to Iraq and Kosovo for FY2009, but we're hearing rumors of Afghanistan deployments coming up big soon."Soldier, you need to turn your ACOG off before the batteries die." - PMI Instructor, subject matter expertComment

Wouldn't surprise me. There's a Sacramento unit in Afghanistan right now, actually.
No point in worrying about things which are out of your control. When you go, you go.
