Congrats to them, they where recycled several times. Showed a lot of will and heart on Thier part to keep at it. It's no small matter that they are officers and West Point grads and both come from a couple of the most combat orientated fields in the Army women are allowed to serve in, Military Police Corps and Aviation.
But the Ranger school is just that, an Infantry leadership school. One of the toughest and longest, and should be noted that it is frequented by all branches of the military. SEALs and Marines have washed out of Ranger school, not uncommon at all.
But it has little to do with the 75th Ranger Regiment, you most be selected and pass the RASP(Ranger Assessment and selection program). Having a Ranger tab from Ranger school is not the same as wearing a Ranger scroll.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Nope, complete waste of time and money. The "nut hugging jelly fish" who support this "jackassery" are all about to retire and could care less about the problems mentioned.
You do realize that Ranger school is a LEADERSHIP school, right? Folks from all branches of the military, and foreign, attend this school to become proficient leaders upon return to their unit. Outside of Regiment or RTB, this is simply a stepping stone.

Did you also forget that the female graduates are a MP and a Apache Helicopter pilot?

"Ranger Kristen Griest finished second out of the entire class on the 12 mile ruck—an astounding achievement, especially considering that she had just gone through RAP week, two Darby phases, and another RAP week, all back-to-back. CPT Griest and 1LT Haver went straight through the rest of the course with class 08-15, finally earning their Ranger Tabs today after 124 days in Ranger School." http://sofrep.com/42761/really-happe...l-class-06-15/

And just like 70+% of the males, yes, they were recycled...

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

Congrats to these woman. They passed a course when many men washed out. Opportunities to recycle are to DAY 1 of the program. Many in their class were offered the same recycle and declined.

1LT Havers was Distinguished Grad at the Ranger Pre-Select and I saw photos of CPT Griest rucking up Yonah with her class. Her ruck looked bigger than her. Both women received strong peer reviews from fellow attendees and command staff.

Passing this course does not equate with women in combat roles. But it clearly shows they can pass a critically tough and physically demandingcombat leadership program and succeed. Both women have non-combat MOSs at this time.

        RLTW!

Yes, it pissed me off when they gave the regular army the black berets. It is bad as giving trophy's to kids for losing their season. I did 4 years active and 4 nat guard. and the moroon and black beret I earned in 87. My son is in the 1st battalion right now, he has no comment. Here is the 80% build he and I completed when he was home on leave.

I was in the Army Reserve when they transitioned from soft caps to Black Beret as the standard headgear. For me and those I worked with, we did not want them or ask for them. I knew it was an earned privilege. Many of the regular soldiers who were not combat arms and definitely not Rangers wore the beret poorly. They did not shape it or shave the lint off, and it just looked stupid in many cases. I even saw officers wearing it badly, sometimes with the flash right in the middle of their forehead.

On top of all that, it is a poor choice for headgear working outside, it provides no relief whatsoever from the sun. Sometimes folks would "forget" their berets just so they could revert to the trusty and comfortable soft cap.
