Mass Out of Control - Police Chief Final Broker of Gun Posession Rights?

Massachusetts lawmakers sent a bill to Gov. Deval Patrick’s desk for passage that puts police chiefs in charge of deciding whether or not a person is fit enough to own a gun — and gives them the power to deny purchases in certain cases.

That being said, why aren't people doing what the FF's did if that's the case?

The real issue is power.
When the guns are gone they will go after knives, bats, you name it.

That is already the case today though differently. California sucks more than any other state in the Union, except for New York.

In Mass you ask for an "LTC". Your reason for the request is "for all lawful purposes" (including, but not limited to, self defense).

Our LTC's are researched, signed and issued by the Chief of Police. This is an unequal application of the law on the basis of the whim of whichever Chief of Police you happen to be served by.

It was easier to get an LTC in MASSACHUSETTS than it is to get one in Orange County. *That* is disgusting.

And...you can own full auto in Massachusetts.
