Another Lieberal Journolist Anti-Gun Hit Piece...

...this time decrying the potential for mass-murder of a gun that doesn't even exists yet!
Yes you read that right: the author is afraid of a non existing mass murdering gun that will be used by the Army and the criminals.

The pathetic anti-civil rights propaganda piece starts with this ominous statement:
There’s a new semi-automatic handgun on the horizon for the Army that U.S. consumers may have access to almost immediately. When that happens, America’s emergency rooms better be prepared for the carnage that’s likely to follow.
Read the rest of the garbage here. And don't forget the readers comments.
Yahoo News: The Army’s New Handgun: A Weapon for Criminals?

Another hit piece on Beretta after the ARX100 just a couple of days ago. The Army didn't decided what sidearm to purchase (and probably won't make a decision for a vary long time), yet the Yahoo hit piece pictures a Beretta handgun. Coincidence or payback for Beretta moving out of MD?

The brain dead author: Maureen Mackey, Yahoo finance writer

Lol, if this journalist only knew about some of the handguns on the civilian market already. The Army WISHES they could have some of our stuff, it's just not cheap enough. 38 SuperAuto race guns, large energy conversions like the .460 Rowland, BFR's. Maybe it is better that she keeps her head buried in the sand.

There are many articles out there that people in the journalistic trade should be embarrassed about and this is just one more in a long list.

Anecdotally, marksmanship skills especially with pistols is a major problem in the Army these days.
I have zero facts to back this up...but this is what I'm being told.
I have no problem with the military wanting a different sidearm....but if the poor marksmanship issue is true...a new and better sidearm...especially in a larger caliber...won't help much

heh if anything it will be even more of a detriment with smaller capacity magazines. I cant speak one way or the other but obviously you cant do your job if you cant hit what youre shooting at.

Ok I get it. A gun is designed to kill. Over time technology has improved (what a revelation!) So now folks criminals have better guns than say Jesse James had. Imagine that!

I have zero facts to back it up but pistol marksmanship has always been a problem which was one of the reasons they wanted a large caliber like the colt .45 because it was thought that a high energy round even if shot placement was not ideal or not lethal would drop or incapacitate the target.

this is one of those weird memes where you don't know if they're just that dumb that they believe it or if it is just a propaganda thing.

But the meme is, of course, that military style stuff is more dangerous.

One of the weirder examples I saw was someone trying to defend not selling military brass (done by a Clinton admin appointee). The argument was just that 'its military' over and over as if it meant something... and sorta reminded me of the guy from office space saying, over and over, the company needed him since he moved the TPS reports (damn it; don't you understand I move the TPS Reports!). and/or the brass is too dangerous to sell to the public because 'its military brass' damm it; why don't you understand.

My son is Air Force ROTC. At field training he qualified Expert with the M9. When he got back he found out he was the only one in his detachment with an expert ribbon...

My Daughter also was the only one on qualification day, to qualify "Expert", with a side arm.

She did this with rifle also, about two weeks ago. One of two who did. The other sailor that qualified, had done four years in the Marines, before joining the Navy.

Blamo's new olive oil line; a recipe for kitchen fires?

xco's new tire line; a tire on cars in future accidents?

Home Depot Hammers; builders tool or murder weapons?
