9 page PDF (god those are hard on my eyes, blinding white background)

Long story short. Over the years there have been laws made based on the old arbitrary and convoluted readings of the second amendment that tried to make firearms only necessary for "Militia."

As soon as we got McDonald we received an explained, modern, federal, reading of the second amendment that is able to be used in current law uniformly. This has allowed the 2nd Amendment to no longer be some bastard child of a constitutional right and, as shown by current litigation, is able to be used to fight against anti-gun legislature.

The paper gives a positive view on the possibility of future litigation being able to fight against some of the major pillars of gun control, at one point bringing up the litigation against two men that "illegally" created a short-barrelled shotgun, but since the final overturning verdict said that the weapon had no use to the "militia," it was still illegal. Since we now have McDonald holding that the 2ndA is an individual right, not just a right of the militia, that laws such as these can be fought.

Thanks, RobertMW. It's nice to have a pdf, but an abstract is a blessing!
