NFA branch is shutdown

some later anecdotal info says that the whole branch is furloughed, which means even transfers to LE are affected. they left at least one to answer the status check phone # to say they can't look up anything due to the shutdown. Not sure why they didn't just setup an automated message instead of having a human do it...

Yeah, I hear you. A friend of mine who is also a SOT has had outright cancellations/refunds requested from people because of it. I guess President Stompy Foot in the Spite House finally found something to tweak us with. God forbid he withhold money from CPB/NPR, the treasury just laid out almost half a billion to them!
