When I was growing up they didnt have SSRI drugs and they didnt have mass shootings. Hell we drove to school in another state with our deer rifles in the back window of our pu truck.

My advice is stop eating bad food with preservatives and food colors, exercise and get healthy WITHOUT taking SSRI meds.

Problem Child...while I appreciate your zeal for trying to take the heat off of firearms. Blaming medications that MILLIONS of people are on that positively impact their lives isn't the answer either.

If 1 out millions of gun owners use a gun illegally, we blame the person not the gun. If 1 out of millions of medication users act illegally, we blame the person not the medication. If it were .01%, .02%, something like that would be significant. But the fact that 1 out of millions of people act out doesn't show a very strong correlation.

Why can't we just acknowledge that there are sick and evil people in the world. That is why the average citizen has the RIGHT to arm and defend themselves. That should be the message, not looking for a cause of random violence and trying to stop it.

Some catastrophes are so rare and devastating that it's easier to plan for them than to try and avoid them. Earthquakes and hurricanes come to mind, as well as random shootings.

I just heard another report about how this guy was reported to the naval about some incident a few weeks prior where he told someone how he was being followed and people were sending vibrations through his body with a microwave machine. I don't think a motive of any sort will come out of this.
It does sound to me like its about time to get serious about laying down some common sense microwave vibration machine laws. When is enough enough? It's much too easy to send vibrations into people's bodies and then something like this happens. Mr and mrs America, turn them in!

Im sorry, how old are you? Most any baby boomer grew up when Whitman hauled a crate of guns and ammo to the top of the Texas University bell tower and I would definitely call that a mass shooting. He too was mentally deficient from a brain tumor though.

You are incorrectly tying all causation to medication. Being an absolutist means that you are unable to look at the many different ways that led the people to the situations they created. It could be a combonation of medication, upbringing, hate for people, a feeling of being wronged by a group of people or by society in general or maybe they are just crazy and shouldn't have been in contact with firearms.
