High School AP History Book Rewrites 2nd Amendment

Although most Texans don't want to believe it, this is just one example why many believe Texas will go Blue in the next 10-15 years if people there don't wake up (like some CO voters did). They work on it very slowly and methodically. Teach kids they have no rights and most will believe it, and incorporate it into their thinking (and future voting patterns).

Sometimes the Libs/progressives get caught, though .....

    "Textbook version:
"The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia."

    Actual 2nd Amendment:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Supreme Court, in its Heller Decision (2008)

....held that the 2nd Amendment Right to "Keep and Bear Arms" is a Fundamental Individual Right apart from Militia service.

I'm not sure how widely this publication is distributed in other states, but it is definitly a concern. Better check your kids text books people !!!

Things like this make me more glad every day that I will not be raising children in this messed up world.
    On the Second Amendment:
"'Keep' means they're mine, you can't have them. 'Bear' means I've got some on me, and they're loaded."

It has been a very long time, if ever, since liberals had any real input on textbooks in Texas. So, I'm not sure how anything from a Texan textbook approved by a mostly conservative committee means that liberals were caught with anything.

Not only does this sort of thing need to be caught and exposed for what it is, and then reversed, hopefully with some sort of "prosecution" of the perpetrator(s), but it henceforth should be required, if not mandated by law, that such attempts should be added to the History Books so as to provide the evidence to those same kids and their posterity that this sort of thing took place. Context is king. Just complaining about it or even reversing/correcting it is not enough to keep the insidiousness of it available to as well as hopefully fresh in the minds of those who desire to follow the path of truth.

If Texas goes blue you might as well change the name of this country to the United Socialist States of Obamica
