A national CCW reciprocity bill passed out of House committee today. As anyone who ever saw the Schoolhouse Rock "I'm only a Bill" knows, it still has long road to become law. I would say the chances in the current House are quite good, but it is hard to see how it passes the Senate. Still, it's nice to see a little offense, instead of playing ony defense all the time, and the odds of passage are probably higher now than they have ever been.

If there is a monumental win, iot will be in the House only. It is DOA when it gets to the Senate. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet it never makes it out of committee.That's what happened the last time around, when McConnell locked it up. Some castigate him for this, and I suspect he is not in favor, but nonetheless, dying in committee is far better outcome than being voted down on the floor. -
