Citizen disarmament plans in Mexico and Lebanon

Too quiet on these fronts, perhaps because we may not mind citizens of Mexico or Lebanon being disarmed. However, their newly elected presidents have begun preparations of “monopolizing weaponry” with their administrations. Might this be the new wave of global pressure to disarm citizens but allow the state to responsibly handle weapons? They of course know how to act responsibility and fairly.

I thought Mexico was already essentially disarmed. There are very tight restrictions on hunting, firearm ownership is mostly non-existent and the right to carry is also non-existent.
Funny thing is Mr. Moros mentioned a few weeks ago that Mexico actually has a 'right to bear' clause in it's constitution, but that right has been gutted by Mexico courts. Sound familiar?
A very precautionary warning for us here in the US, as many of our own courts would love to do the same. Thank God Trump won and SCOTUS will be safe from D mischief for the next 4 years.

sounds good, I assume Cartels and Hezbollah will be granted exemptions in Mexico and Lebanon respectively.

When you make it a law that the citizens cannot own weapons, only the outlaws will be armed.

interesting, when I was in Mexico on Spring Break many decades ago, and all us American kids were of course taken aback at the Turd Worldness of it all, we sorta corralled an older friendly smart Mexican and asked him "WTF?" and he said the root of the corruption that keeps Mexico so bad is "the courts" AKA the judges. For various PoliSci reasons that some of my PoliSci leaning college students sorted out, The Judges are where corruption can control. That and the type of upper-class hate of lower castes that just doesn't exist in America, at least not during the 1980s.

Watching "The Apprentice" about Trump and Roy Cohen, it was largely about getting to certain judge-type shot calling officials to clear the way for projects to advance society in NYC. But sounds like in Mexico the ruling class does similar but instead to cock-block any projects to improve life for lower classes. No Water Project so the peasants have to pay some corrupt system.
