Anyone read H.R.6492 yet? Shooting rages in public lands (BLM)

I saw a Langley Outdoors video praising the passage of H.R.6492. I'm not sold that this is a good thing. It mandates that every BLM must have at least one designated gun range. But doesn't that also mean that every (now open) BLM that now allow you to shoot wherever you want will be mandated to only allow you to shoot at the one designated shooting range?

I also has provisions to charge fees. A fee to enter; A fee to park; and a fee to use the shooting range.

It all seems bad to me. but maybe I'm reading this wrong...

Get involved, let's fix these 2nd Amendment misunderstandings.

It's not the size of your gun that counts, only the fun factor...

I scanned through parts of the proposed bill. It sounds to me like it targets federal land in general and identifies possible improvements for recreation and sources of revenue.. I don't know that it will impose additional restrictions on BLM land but obviously could be wrong.
I don't like the whole improvement scheme. Sound like the bill wants to turn our public lands into a sort of Disneyland. I'm for keeping most areas as primitive as possible. Unfortunately this looks like it's heading to law. Passed house and senate.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Anything the government controls, always gets more restrictive rules. "It's what they do".

If providing annual funding for construction is not mandatory, no ranges will be constructed, especially in blue states
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

I like the access and usability of BLM land.
i shouldn’t require a fee/tax to access property that already belongs to “The People”. Same with all public land. You shouldn’t need to pay to use it.
and there should always be free parking. Today I buy the annual Adventure Pass.
