Louisiana Senate Approves Permitless Carry. Bill Moves To House.

Louisiana lawmakers advance permitless concealed carry gun bill

Louisiana is one step closer to joining the list of states that allow people to carry concealed guns without a permit, as Republican lawmakers advanced legislation Thursday during a special session that was called to address violent crime.

Legislators also greenlighted a bill that would provide a level of immunity from civil liability for someone who uses a concealed firearm to shoot a person in self-defense.

The Senate approved both measures on party-line votes, sending them to the House, where the GOP holds a two-thirds supermajority. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has already signaled that he plans to sign the bills if they reach his desk...

Shouldn?t that be a part of the same bill? Not a separate one?
    Sorry, not sorry.

Because of greater calendar flexibility and the use of regular order, state legislatures do not tend to create omnibus legislation like the federal government. When Ohio passed stand-your-ground, civil immunity, and constitutional carry, all three came as separate pieces of legislation.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment makes us citizens, not subjects. All other enumerated rights are meaningless without gun rights.

29 constitutional carry states by 2025 seems within reach!
