Relax. The bill will never make it past the Senate filibuster, let alone the Republican-majority House of Representatives.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The Second Amendment makes us citizens, not subjects. All other enumerated rights are meaningless without gun rights. -
We've already seen video of an armed congregation saving the day.
this will be DOAComment

This bill (SB 3589) is not actually aimed at churches.
It is actually called the "Preventing Private Paramilitary act of 2024.
It is primarily aimed at right wing militia groups and was discussed in another thread. However, OP question is valid because (as always will stretch), democrats will use this enforcement to declare church security groups as 'paramilitary'. This is why this bill is raising red flags in the 2nd amendment community.
As ridiculous as this sounds, this could very well be within anti 2nd amendment targets. Militias in general get no sympathy from democrats or RINO republicans at all. (Mitt, Susan, Lisa...........).
As for this never passing, I wish I could be so sure. You see, because the bill is not cloaked as an 'anti-church security bill' but an anti-militia bill, I wouldn't count on not having enough R senators or mushy R congress critters crossing the line. Didn't Biden get his bi-partisan control bill?Comment
