While I am in full support of stand your ground laws and a supporter of Matt Gaetz, how is this a federal issue? If Mr. Gaetz wants to support the 2A and gun owners with concealed carry permits or licenses he should act to repeal the federal school zone laws that fail to recognize the rights of those who can lawfully carry in a state from the requirement that they have a permit or license to carry from said state that would exempt then from the federal prohibition of carrying in a school zone in such state where they do not have a permit or license from such state but can none-the-less lawfully carry in such state.

I will answer your question, with a question in response.

Isn't the 2A enumerated right to KBA, a Federal Issue?

As to the option you presented as to Fed SZ laws. Nobody can reverse 5 decades all "infringements", at least, not all at once. Post Bruen, it will require an reverse incremental de-infringing to accomplish that goal.

To expect otherwise, for those that know how Gov and our court system works, is far from reasonable.

As much as I wish otherwise.

While the 2A is an enumerated right, stand your ground laws deal with when and under what conditions you can use force against another person, an entirely different issue.

So much for the 10th amendment?

Another waste of time. It's as if there are no other pressing problems in this failing country. So they fiddle while Rome burns.

Everyone knows this will never pass the Senate and creepy Joe would never sign it.

Further proof congress is ineffective and essentially useless.

Can't go anywhere in today's Congress.

Just for the principal of the thing is a waste of the House's time

The most helpful federal bill would be national preemption of assault weapons, high-capacity magazine, and NFA item restrictions.

The enforcement mechanism would be funding. Any state that has such bans on the books can say goodbye to 50% of their federal funding. It worked for the drinking age, it would work for this.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment makes us citizens, not subjects. All other enumerated rights are meaningless without gun rights.
