    ATF Proposed Regulations

According to ARMED SCHOLAR, it appears the DOJ's rules will go into effect:

    Frames and Receivers: June 2022
    Pistol Braces: August 2022

    Let the games begin.

Begin? That bus left a LONG time ago.

Evidently, they got 'the word' from retailers. From 1/7...

more likely the ATF probably wants to prevent criticism and scrutiny from Congress...
As he alludes to in the video, the "game" going forward is how many 'parts' or 'assemblage of parts' will be progressively added to the definition. Basically, it's the national version of California's precursor parts legislation, without benefit (or Constitutionality) of actually having gone through a Legislature.
The effect Calguns.net should have on California politicians...

The practical legal reason for a delay is so that they can not incur a loss. That loss would be a “harm.” And showing one has been “harmed” is the key to standing in Federal Court.

The more dealers who sell their whole inventory, the less with standing to challenge the regulation in court.

According to the ATF attorneys I spoke with at SHOT two weeks ago, the receiver issue will be published in June and the arm brace published in August.

Both are big 2A guys, one of them buying about 30 arm braces in recent months. I've spoke to the same two gentlemen at several SHOT Shows over the years and they've always been very amicable and open. They won't/can't discuss or guess what direction certain cases are tracking, but if you can read between the lines...
