They will stop accepting comments on 9/8/2021. So if you're planning to comment - now is the time.

They were complying with the stupid laws as written, nothing wrong with that. The problem is that the concept of SBR is idiotic, not to mention arbitrary and capricious, and stems from the failed attempt to ban handguns via NFA. There's no good reason for it to begin with.

I just got my 07FFL and during the interview the atf agent told us, “he’s not suppose to talk about it, but they’ll probably require them to be registered as SBRs”. The reason for this is that the original brace was approved, but many of the others weren’t, and all hell has broken look is the market for things that are very close to a real stock.

It’s 3rd party knowledge and who knows what the higher ups actually do.

There were a lot more than one that were approved, and a copy of the letter is included with the brace.

Because this is a kali board, and even many gun owning kalis probably wouldn't know a Constitutional right if it fell on their head.

                    Right...

Anyways, he seems to think they will soon require NFA registration and he was hesitant to talk about it.

                      How will they enforce it?

Through fear and intimidation, as usual. Some will register those, some will get rid of them. For the rest - ATF and other LEAs will prosecute a few people every now and then, which will convince more people to give up their braces. And as for the hardcore (or ignorant, for a lot of people won't even know about the rule change) ones - the feds don't mind them. In fact, they'd probably welcome the fact that if they can't get them on anything else when needed, they would still be able to get them on an NFA violation.

I agree but that doesn't change the reality of it all. Everyone took advantage of a loophole and now its being closed. Again...it should not be a surprise to anyone.

                              Slippery slope theory becomes fact.

If you didn't see this coming with the bump stock ban, don't know what to do for you. This was an obvious next step and they both are the same.

Legal "work arounds" of the NFA which fell into disfavor.

Many here stated..."I don't care about bump stocks" and missed the point, it's not about the BS it is always about the overreach.
