It neither delusion or hypocrisy. You cannot just look at the words "gun control" to understand Trump's statement. For instance, it also means having a proper grip, trigger control and hitting what you are aiming at. So you have to look at what he also said. While he said that he was for some gun control (legislation), at the same time he said that he is committed to the 2A and fully expects the NRA's support. He also mentioned Senator Cornyn, who introduced S446, a CCW reciprocity bill.

My point is that some of you guys are giving Trump a pass for suggesting gun control measures that would have made your heads explode if they had come out of the mouth of any other president.

It's like Trump can do no wrong with you.

So do not assume that he is describing what the anti-gun libs are espousing. Are you opposed to fixing NICS so that prohibited persons and nut jobs are not approved because someone dropped the ball?

I'm not talking about fixing NICS. Obviously the system needs to be fixed and improved.

I am not sure that I would call it a pass. I'm just not ready to criticize without seeing specific proposals in a near final form. In other words, I am not particularly concerned about what he says in negotiations. It is the final results that count. But if you want to call it a pass, that's OK with me.

Do no wrong. That seems accurate to me, especially when I think about how things would be if Hillary had been elected. To be honest with you, I still have a Trump bumper sticker on my car and I am still giddy about his election. What I enjoy most is how he is driving the libs and MSM crazy. If his is re-elected in 2020, they will be foaming at the mouth.

I am not happy that he increased spending to the degree he did. But he would not have gotten the long term military spending if he had not done so. And, while the deficit is critical, it was not as critical as the military funding and hopefully the infrastructure funding will boost the economy even more to offset a good portion of this spending. In any event, we cannot continue to ignore the country's deteriorating infrastructure. So in my mind he is doing what he said he would do and what needs to be done.

The guy was flying in his own 757 and built a massive empire. What has Trump *DONE* that I should hold against him? I looked at his *actions* and everything seems to be on the positive side. Is that wrong?

I'm pretty sure he likes women. He certainly doesn't despise them. A man who is even a bit prejudiced would never allow one to run the most important race of his life. He would not groom his daughter to run his businesses and he would actively undermine women's mobility in his companies.

If you want to disparage a person it's much better to start with smaller words and at least have a chance of making your point.
