    Propaganda with a profound effect

These news segments are opening the door to have a profound effect on gun ownership as we know it.

President Trump said Wednesday the administration is going to strengthen background checks and “put a strong emphasis on mental health,” as he promised students and families “we are going to get it done.”

Trump holds listening session on mass shootings; a mother whose son was killed at Sandy Hook and a father whose daughter was killed at Columbine discuss efforts to prevent violence in schools.

Legislators and the media are not talking about the core of the problem related to mental health.
Specifically how the mental health field experimentally prescribes doses of psych drugs to these people before going on a shooting rampage.
It's a very experimental approach based on someone talking to a doctor about what is going on in their minds. If you meet the criteria, they will prescribe you something and see what happens. If it doesn't work, hmm, let's increase the dosage by 5mg and let's see how it removes your conscious and makes the voices tell you to commit horrible crimes.
Blaming this issue on guns is like blaming cars for drunk drivers. Are we banning cars, no! In most cases, we try to deal with the situation at its core which is alcoholism.
That's my 2 cents. I'm just getting tired of the irrational top bottom solutions. They never work.

Talk is all your going to get. Once again, this will be talked to death and nothing will result. The filibuster assures that fact.

States may take action now that Heller has codified that response. (Reasonable restrictions, what ever that is supposed to mean).

You are probably right on track, or close to it. Nothing much is going to change, largely because many Democrats would face a backlash from their voters were they to implement any law that restricts gun ownership. Give it a month and people will be on to the next thing.

The only way any of us will ever get our rights back is when the systeme as a whole collapses, where their is no more money or power in the US, then no one will regulate anything, it will be the old west all over again.
