    Smart technology for gun safety?

It is called GUN SAFES, locking doors of rooms where guns are kept and common-sense gun-handling safety training.
It does not take a rocket science degree to master this "technology".

Security against gun theft? Secrecy. Don't ever tell people you don't know or trust that you have guns and where you live.

Look, smart guns ARE the future of firearms technology. And they always will be.

        I'll be all for this...

...once the military and police have used it for 20 years with no hiccups.

War is when your Government tells you who the enemy is......

Revolution is when you figure it out for yourself.

The very first mandatory users should be the govt at all levels form local to the feds including the military. Funding should be put in place to replace all of unsafe guns with the new safe ones in only a year or two.

I expect a viable smart gun to be available a year after we replace all of our power plants with fusion reactors.

I do have a problem with 'Smart' Tech

We have a shotgun that has been in the family since 1908. Still goes boom and is actually collectible and worth some husk.

My Iphone and tablet have a lifespan measured in months and are constantly needing updates to continue to perform. Don't get me started on battery life.
