There have been threads about Hillary, et al impacting the 2nd Amendment if they get elected...the discussions go off into the Congressional Congress, or by state/congress ratifications, etc...and also to letting executive actions (not orders) be challenged in the courts and try to force issues in the SCOTUS.
Almost everything I read pertains to the 2nd Amendment but I don't see much about the 4th Amendment and I've always thought much of "squashing" the 2nd would require either changing or ignoring or weakening the 4th Amendment as well...pretty hard to enforce a no gun rule if you can't just kick in the door to check for compliance..
Would this be the "straw that breaks the camel's back" if an attempt is made to both alter the 2nd Amendment and also the 4th at the same time? Seems it affects a much larger part of the population (non gun owners as well as gun owners) and probably would be a major stumbling block.
Personally I think all the chatter right now is campaign chatter and while there may be some actions at a Federal level there might be some changes that will impact gun owners but perhaps far less that is being predicted...don't get me wrong...any change is giving up rights and I balk at that big time...but realistically there is so much on the horizon that's going to need immediate attention by whomever get elected that I think the gun issues will drone on and on.
My biggest concern, of course is the California situation with Newsom's food fight with the State's Congress and his initiative on the ballot..
Anyway just wanted to give the good old "4th" it's due when we have chats about the 2nd Amendment...got to be able to kick those doors down.
