Ok, turns out this is a few years old, from HBO's Real Sports. No surprise that "they" are bringing it up again.

Is there an age limit to own a rifle here? Maybe the reason was because it wasn't against the law?

You can join the military or get drafted when you're 18, get shipped out to a sh@thole half a world away and get your limbs blown off by roadside bombs.

But you can't legally drink if you're younger than 21.

Time to lower the legal drinking age, I guess.

Saw a T shirt at the SD fair yesterday, it said,

"Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, ATF should be the name of a convienience store instead of a government agency"

I'm guessing it was legal to buy the rifle at the time.

                      Thirteen ??? a little OLD I'd say ...!

I owned a .22 rifle when I was 8 ... of course dear old dad bought it for me, but it was mine and I could take it out shootin' whenever I wanted.

I for sure know that dad wouldn't have let me drink beer or smoke cigarettes at age 8. But shoot guns ... oh hell yes ...!

I'm 60 years of age now and I'm not a killer

I have an FFL Type 1 and a LTC/CCW ... I have a job, pay my bills/taxes, obey the Law, God fearing etc ... my wife thinks I'm a little whacky and stuff, but basically I'm not stupid.

Hah, that's such bull****. Watch as the guy behind the table hands over the rifle, watch how it's passing from one hand to another. That's not the kid passing it from his right to his left, that's an adult taking the rifle for him. Even if they didn't say it outside of the video edit, and they certainly didn't inside the edit, there were adults there giving the seller an impression that this was a kid trying to be as grown up as he could, paying for his own rifle, but while still being under adult supervision. If that kid was truly there alone, I think it would have been a completely different story.

Comes with the territory living in the Bay Area. You think it's bad hearing about all the liberal BS on CNN, try living amongst and working with those idiots!

Might have something there. The seller seemed to be looking at someone else when he talked, not at the kid. Interesting. Not surprised... If you see the Real Sports about the AR-15 it is full of BS.

Maybe not. Seems there is no federal law on age limits for long gun PPT. However, most states Do have an 18 YO age limit. (I know this is an anti link, but the chart is compiled nicely).
Scroll to summary of state laws.
What's the minimum age to buy a gun? Minimum age laws for the purchase of guns are intended to decrease access to firearms by young people.
