Shipping parts and accessories to Puerto Rico

    Hello Calgunners,
Not sure if this is the correct place to post. On another site I have someone from Puerto Rico wanting to buy my rifle stock(non folding) is there any restrictions or problems with this? I'm not to familiar with exporting-itar requirements or if they would even effect me?
    Thanks for any help

    Not sure about legal restrictions.

However, I would advise against it. I shipped something there that was supposedly lost in shipment. Tracking info just stopped once it left the U.S. Absolutely no help from the shipper (USPS). Was told I have to speak with the Puerto Rico office. No one answers the phone there. Couldn't get a return call after several messages left.

After my experience, I don't do business in Puerto Rico. Too risky with no recourse.

Sorry, no advice regarding the legal aspect.

They are actually governed by the US. Consequently, they have FFLs just like mainland gun stores. There isn't any export concern, but you do need to make sure the shipment isn't contraband for that location. I would recommend getting insurance on any shipment.
