    Background Check Fail

Police officer shot by Islamist. Using a pistol stolen from another police officer.

Why is it so hard for cognitive reasoning handicapped individuals to understand. Criminals while not the most intelligent of citizens. Are just smart enough to NOT use a gun registered and traceable to themselves to commit crimes with.

Smart tech would have saved 3 babies, a dog, an old lady crossing the street and this officer. Why in the world are not all police armed with smart tech guns?

I would resign my position as a reserve police officer if my agency required us to use a "smart gun". Until the tech is 100% proven, like judge dredd peacemaker proven I will pass.

And I personally would support you in that. Goes to show the ludicrous position of "requiring" smart tech. It *Might* have stopped this shooting, but then again, it might not have and it *might* cost lives elsewhere when the gun doesn't work. I personally love tech items, and would love a smart tech gun, but I don't want the government ever to REQUIRE it for me or police officers.

That and what if it can be hacked and shut off.... Seems everything that runs on computer code and be hacked, so it would NEVER be 100% safe technology.

If a crook can open your car, or garage door using an RF generator. They can shut off your gun with one.

Simple Logic, is beyond the simpletons who do not possess it. Or choose to ignore it.

I've worked with technology all my adult life, and I doubt I'll ever trust a "smart gun". Give them a good 20 year testing period, and I might change my mind. Might. I laugh or cry at the idea of buying a smart gun, depending on my mood.

Nowhere in any of his tearfull speeches, does O-hole say anything he is doing by "Presidential Action". WILL STOP anything bad from happening to good people by bad people.

He over uses the May, Could, Possibly Prevent words a lot. With nothing but his worthless word that they are correct usages.

He also does not ADMIT, that his further infringements of 2A rights are actually INFRINGEMENTS.

Latest Liberal Progressive ploy to rename something that is and has been perfectly legal for 240 years. That they wish to now make illegal. Such as the sale of a citizens personal property to another citizen.

Re-label it a "LOOPHOLE" and have the Bias Stream Media echo the misuse of the word repeatedly until it becomes accepted as common usage.

The same old "Tell a Lie Big enough, Often Enough". Promted by Adolph Hitler and Joseph Groebels.

                  Wow... To comment:

A pocket EMP device would be about the size of an altoids tin; and would fry his gun without contact from several feet/meters away.....

That "Smart gun tech" will be a serious vulnerability.
