    If I plan on buying an upper receiver this year will I need to have an FSC?

    No. Plus you can buy a complete upper off the internet and sent to your house.

      Upper receiver of what?

      On some firearms the upper receiver is considered a firearm and on some firearms the lower receiver is considered a firearm.

      FSC is needed to acquire a firearm.

      So, depending on what type of upper receiver it is for, determines if you need a FSC or not.


      Example...
      AR10/15 = lower receiver
      AUG = upper receiver
      FAL = upper receiver
      HK91/93/94 = upper receiver
      SCAR = upper receiver
