Ex-wife Wants To Give Me A Handgun

My ex-wifes father passed away a while back and had a handgun that she doesn't want. She wants to give it to me and I will gladly take it but I want to make sure we do this legally.
Do we simply go to an FFL and do a private party transfer?
    Thanks

Yes it is only way to get it legally. $35 bucks and 10 days your done plus the hsc of course unless you have one.

I'm not 100%, but I believe she needs to complete the intrafamilial transfer form first. Once she is the registered owner, she will be able to do a PPT.

        I think

Hmm. Did't think about the interfamilial transfer first. So does any one know for sure about the interfamilial transfer for her first?

Had to do a double take. Read the title as "ex-wife wants to give me a handjob"

You could avoid the ppt fees by remarrying...

Sounds like a SingleShotExemption to me.

She can PPT it to you directly. No transfer form is necessary. If there is no one contesting her inheritance of the gun, she is free to sell it.
