    Non-Resident bringing an AR-legalities?

Hello! My name is John T. and I'm new to this forum. I looked around and have not really found an answer to this question. I am going on leave in August to CA from Bahrain for two weeks and just wanted to know.
Can I, a resident of Iowa, bring a compliant (bullet buttoned) AR15 with a lower that's not on the "ban list", into California while on vacation?
I apologize if this is a stupid question as I simply just don't know.

    Thank you.

    Yes.

And only bring 10 round magazines also. Leave those 11+ round mags at home.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

Also, assuming this is a rifle (shoulder fired, barrel over 16 inches): make sure that the total length is over 30 inches in its shortest firing configuration (with a folding or telescoping stock).

Of course! it's just a 16 in barrel and. In total it is, more than 30 inches in length so I think I'm okay. Thanks!
