S&W M&P Optic Ready Slides

I recently saw that S&W is now selling factory replacement slides for some of the M&P series that permit an individual to mount a red dot or other optic on a Calif Compliant M&P. Because these replacement slides do not have a Loaded Chamber Indicator, would their install on a Calif Compliant M&P along with an optic be considered manufacturing and violate a statute? I seem to remember a thread that discussed this matter a while back, but can't find it now.

Won't be a problem unless you plan to CCW, in which case, you'll need to check with the CCW issuing agency. I got rid of the magazine disconnect on my CA P365 as soon as I got it home.
