waiting to be released from an unnamed government agency

On Monday, I ordered some brass and bullets (not loaded ammo) from Midway. It was shipped via UPS with a tracking number and scheduled to arrive Friday. Today I get an email from UPS stating:
Your package is pending release from a Government Agency. Once they release it, your package will be on its way.
Exception Resolution: Delivery will be delayed by one business day.
One day is not a concern but I'm wondering who, what, why? Maybe I got caught up in the current ammo mess? Or is this a preview of what's coming down the road?

Dropped shipped from mfg? What brand bullets and brass? My new laptop has the same exception but it was coming from China.

Probably never left Midway if your order was placed on Monday. It was processed, ready to be shipped, assigned a UPS tracking number - then they got that ruse CA DOJ notice and are awaiting updates from the CA DOJ before formally releasing it to UPS.

It was shipped Monday and contained NO loaded ammo, empty brass and jacketed bullets only.
