PPT question- Seller is an out of state resident but will be visiting CA soon...

My brother in Idaho bought a shotgun but he doesn't like it. I want it. He will be here for Thanksgiving. Can we do a PPT on it?
...while the buffoon in the White House prances around celebrating butt sex.

    No.

Your brother would have to be a California resident in order to do a PPT. You can still do the transfer through an FFL, but it would not be a PPT transfer. The key difference being the fees that the nice FFL dealer can charge you.
If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.

Call the FFL you plan on using and ask prior to going in what their FFL transfer fee would be. This can very widely, im my area the cheapest was $75 but not sure I can even get that price now, most are $100 -$150.

I drive 2 hours to Manteca to use my go to FFL . $75 For 1st firearm, $15 for each additional forearm.
