I'm just going to admit it I flat out cannot remember is this is still a go here or not. My last recollection was that I could mail in the 19-dollar form transferring a handgun to my 18-year-old son as long as he obtains the FSC first. I googled and it still seems ok, but you all know the story I have a couple people whom I know that are adamant that I am wrong. what say Cal Guns??

I believe the age for a handgun is 21."When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty" -
I thought intrafamilial was an exception though. PC27875 unless i am interpreting it wrong says 18 years or older. I just found the earlier thread of someone asking the same question I assume. I apologize for the dupe I just missed it. So it appears I will be gtg to gift him a handgun of mine for Xmas this year.Last edited by Bullets&Whitewalls; 10-09-2024, 8:19 PM.Comment

Intrafamilial - one CA parent transferring to a CA child - is the legal way for under-21 to receive a handgun. That's the way things still are in October, 2024.
Note that the receiver of the gun files the paperwork, so son in this case.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!👍 1Comment
