You can bring the Glock, no problem. Leave any +10 round mags in Oregon.
The AR-15 assuming its not a 20-30 years old one on the "banned by name" list can be configured to a legal configuration (fixed mag or featurless) and brought into California no problem. You do not need a gun shop to help, you are only required to fill out a form to the DOJ and pay $19 to register the guns you bring into California.
You cannot bring any +10 round magazines into California, period, end of story. Leave them in Oregon.

Keep the Glock, and AR lower. Sell the AR-15 upper at your local pawn shop, gun store. Buy a new upper in California.

Firearms must be made CA legal before they enter CA.

CA legal meaning it is not considered a restricted weapon under CA assault weapons laws, CA DD laws, CA MG laws, and CA generally prohibited weapons laws.

              As long as your...
... Glock 45 does not have a threaded barrel it will be CA legal.
... AR15 style rifle is not make/model banned, then it can be modified to be CA legal as either a featureless semi-auto centerfire rifle or as a semi-auto centerfire rifle with a fixed magazine or as a manually operated (straight pull bolt-action) centerfire rifle or as a semi-auto rimfire rifle.

It is illegal to bring large capacity (11+ round) magazines into CA. [PC 32310(a)]
It is illegal to bring large capacity magazine parts kits into CA. [PC 32311(a)]
It is legal to bring permanently altered 10 round magazines into CA.

As a new resident of CA, within 60 days of bringing your CA legal firearms into CA, you must report them to CA DOJ or sell/transfer them through a CA FFL dealer or surrender them to a CA LE agency for destruction. [PC 27560]
^Because of the 60 day window requirement, transferring them via consignment sale will be a no-go.

In order to report the firearms, you will need to submit a completed New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership to CA DOJ BOF.
Within 4-80 weeks, after payment for the report is cashed in, CA DOJ BOF will mail you an acknowledgement letter.

Separate the upper and lower, and bring the AR in. If upper and lower are not assembled together, AW laws do not apply.

Do not assemble in state until you decide whether to go featureless or fixed mag. Make the necessary changes to go with the choice you make. Then you can put the upper and lower together.

Is that true for a banned by name lower?

Nope. The separation of Upper and Lower only works for an "Evil by Feature" Assault Weapon because the separation removes the "Semi-Auto" characteristic of the weapon, thus placing it outside of the definition of an "Assault Weapon." An "Evil by Name" Assault Weapon is still an Assault Weapon, even when separated, so long as the evil name remains on the lower.

Please see the explanation provided in in 11CCR5471(hh)(3).
