I got AR and Zastava M70. Can I remove all the features or add a maglock and then bring them with me? What to expect after I file the BOF 4010A for them?

What state are you moving from? If you can hold off for a while until CA's AW laws are declared unconstitutional you will be better off. Is there a mag lock for AK style rifles or is there a way to remove all of the features?

Moving from AZ.
I am just removing the pistol grip from my M70 and I don't have a flash hider anyways. I suppose M70 itself is not banned in CA?

New resident of CA can legally bring firearms that are CA legal, when they move to CA, and within 60 days of establishing residency in CA, they must report those firearms to CA DOJ. [PC 27560(a)]

CA legal firearm equates to a firearm that is not classified as an assault weapon, destructive device, machine gun, or generally prohibited weapon under CA laws. [PC 17000(a)(10),(11),(12),(14),(15)]

Reporting can be accomplished by online submission (CFARS -> CRIS -> New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership) or by mailing a completed New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership (BOF 4010A) to CA DOJ BOF.
Incomplete online submissions or mailed in forms will get rejected/returned, so that they can be completed and resubmitted.
