    Husband to wife transfer

Ok my question...what is the fastest way to transfer a handgun from me my wife...I know I can fill out the doj form and send in my $19 but sometime that takes months...I want my wife to be able to add it to her ccw...my issuing agency requires that the handgun must be registered in her name...is ppt good?

Neighbor did the self registration in late December

    Still not in the system.

As the IA what is required?
Is a copy of the form sufficient?
Copy of cashed check that can take 3 months ok?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

PPT or use CFARS - https://cfars.doj.ca.gov/login.do

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Arguably it is "registered" when you have done everything required of you to cause it to be registered, but does your IA required that its registration to you appear in AFS? Some accept but some do not accept proof of registering on CFARS. Have you clarified what your IA wants?

PPT will be the fastest method.

Second fastest will be her submitting a CRIS Report of Operation of Law online via CFARS.

Slowest will be her downloading a Report of Operation of Law or Intra-Familial Firearm Transaction, completing it, and mailing it in via USPS.

Since she is receiving the firearm, she will need to fill out the transfer paperwork or submit the reports.
She will also need valid proof of identification and a valid FSC or exemption to the FSC.
^If she is doing a PPT, she will also need valid proof of residency.
